Lewis Hamilton Q&A

After the troubles of the previous month, Lewis Hamilton fired a message to his doubters with his sensational wet weather victory in his home grand prix at Silverstone.

Interview - Renaults Nelson Piquet Jr

Nepotism or not, being the son of a former world champion should certainly help a Formula One hopeful realise his ambitions. When it comes to opening doors, racing pedigree is an enviable attribute but without the talent to back it up, a driver might quickly find those same doors slammed shut.
Luckily for Renaults Nelson Piquet Jr, he has already shown he has more than enough skill behind the wheel to help him live up to his famous name. Certainly, his latest tests in the Renault R28 have been very promising - no wonder he is brimming with confidence for the coming season…

Interview - Toro Rosso's Sebastien Bourdais

For the first time since Franck Montagny waved goodbye to his Super Aguri race seat in July 2006, a French driver will once again grace the Formula One grid this year when the new season gets underway in March.
After waiting since 2000 to land a Formula One drive Sebastien Bourdais is keen to impress. And having clinched his fourth Champ Car title last year, he certainly has more than enough of that elusive ‘winners mentality demanded by team co-owner Gerhard Berger...

Home at last - Q&A with Renaults Fernando Alonso

Tuesday at Jerez marked something of a homecoming for Fernando Alonso, as he returned to a Renault cockpit for the first time since he won the 2006 world title with the team. After the rollercoaster year that was his ‘07 season with McLaren, the Spaniard is back in familiar surroundings.
Of course, plenty has changed - a new team mate in Nelson Piquet Jr, a new car on the way, and the removal of driver aids. Fresh from his first day back at the office, Alonso considers the challenge that lies ahead…

Exclusive interview - Force Indias Giancarlo Fisichella

Even at 34 years-old, it seems Giancarlo Fisichella is still burning with ambition. After almost ending up without a cockpit for 2008, the former Renault driver fought back at Decembers Force India ‘shootout at Jerez - and it paid off.

Exclusive interview with McLarens Lewis Hamilton

What a difference a year makes. Twelve months ago Lewis Hamilton was the innocent rookie, teamed up with the reigning world champion. Now it is Hamilton who looks to be in pole position at McLaren. Relaxed, and with self confidence oozing from every pore, he has proven he can cut it at the very top.

The Lesser Known Ralf Schumacher

The 2007 season proved to be a tough one for Ralf Schumacher. It also turned out to be his final campaign with Toyota, the team he joined in 2005, having previously enjoyed six Grand Prix wins with Williams.
Having tested for Force India at the tail end of 2007, there is still a question mark over whether Schumacher will return in 08. Nevertheless, he remains one of the sports most famous faces and during the course of last season we caught up with him to discover a few home truths about the German driver…

Valencia day four - Raikkonen ends test on a high

After being overshadowed by McLaren on Wednesday, Ferrari bounced back to the top of the timesheets on Thursday in Valencia, courtesy of world champion Kimi Raikkonen. With the Spanish track enjoying settled weather during the last day of the three-day session, Raikkonen clocked a best lap of 1m 11.189s - just a shade quicker than fellow Finn Heikki Kovalainen in McLarens MP4-23.
Raikkonen, who completed 88 laps in the F2008, was joined by team mate Felipe Massa who finished the day third. Both completed the Italian teams scheduled programme of development work, which focused on finding the best set-up for the car. The duo will be back in action in Bahrain in early February.
