Massa taken to medical centre after Q2 crash

Ferrari's Felipe Massa has been taken to the medical centre at the Hungaroring after crashing heavily towards the end of Saturday's Q2 qualifying session.

Massa ploughed straight off the circuit at Turn 4, burying the front of his car in a tyre wall. Medics were quickly in attendance and the start of Q3 was delayed as they extricated the Brazilian.

After initial examinations at the medical centre, Massa, who was eighth fastest in Q2, has now been transferred by helicopter to hospital for further checks.

Bianchi becomes first member of Ferrari Driver Academy

Ferrari have set up a new driver academy to find and support talented young drivers from around the world, with the eventual aim of getting them into the Formula One arena. The first youngster to be selected for the programme is Frenchman Jules Bianchi, who won this year's Formula Three Euroseries and made his F1 debut with Ferrari in the recent Jerez test session.
