The reunited pairing of Formula Ones youngest ever race winner Vettel and seven-time world champion Schumacher never looked troubled as they powered undefeated through the Nations Cup heats before beating the Team Scandinavia line-up of Le Mans 24 hour winner Tom Kristensen and former German touring car (DTM) champion Mattias Ekstrom in the final.

Hamilton was scheduled to face off against Beijing Olympic cycling gold medallist Chris Hoy, on his racing bike, in a unique ‘Man versus Machine challenge. However, it was called off after concerns about the slippery surface of the track.
