Ferrari confirm Raikkonen to end of 2010

Ferrari have announced an extension to Kimi Raikkonens contract for a further two seasons, keeping the world champion with the Italian team until the end of 2010.


With Raikkonens team mate Felipe Massa also under contract for that period, it means Ferraris race line-up will remain unchanged until at least the start of their 2011 campaign.

Raikkonen joined Ferrari from McLaren last season, while Massa has been with the team since 2006. The announcement should end media speculation suggesting that Raikkonen may retire at the end of this season.

Ralf Schumacher considers DTM involvement

Yesterday at Estoril, Ralf Schumacher started his second DTM test for Mercedes-Benz. And it seems that the 32-year old former Formula 1 ace could imagine racing in DTM.
”I wouldnt be here if driving a DTM racer it wouldnt be big fun, for me,” Schumacher told the ‘Bild Zeitung. “And - it goes without saying - if I wouldnt seriously consider racing in DTM.” The six-time GP winner made his first experiences at the wheel of the DTM Mercedes as early as in mid-January and during the three days of testing at Estoril, Portugal, he wants to deepen these experiences. “Now, I want to use every minute for getting to know the car better,” he reveals.
