Reigning world champions Red Bull will unveil their 2012 challenger, the RB8, in an online presentation on February 6. The car will then make its official track debut at the opening pre-season test, which will take place at the Spanish circuit of Jerez from February 7-10.
The Renault-powered machine, penned under the leadership of Red Bull chief technical officer Adrian Newey, will be raced this season by the team’s unchanged driver line-up of Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber.
Vettel proved untouchable in the RB8’s 2011 predecessor, scoring 11 wins and 15 pole positions in total, whilst Webber claimed three poles and one victory. The team eventually wrapped up both titles with three rounds to spare.
