With news from Hungary about Felipe Massa’s recovery looking increasingly positive, the Brazilian’s doctor has revealed to reporters that he could be well enough to walk out of hospital within the next ten days.
Felipe Massa has been taken out of an artificially-induced coma as his recovery continues, doctors told reporters in Budapest on Monday evening. The injured Ferrari driver has also been able to speak with family and medical staff.

Ferrari’s Felipe Massa has been taken to the medical centre at the Hungaroring after crashing heavily towards the end of Saturday’s Q2 qualifying session.

Former Ferrari boss Jean Todt has confirmed he will stand for the presidency of the FIA, Formula One racing’s governing body, when the position comes up for election later this year.
Williams are to journey to Russia this weekend to take part in the Moscow City Racing event, alongside fellow Formula One teams McLaren and Red Bull. The annual motorsport festival will be held in the heart of the Russian city on Sunday, with St Basil’s Cathedral, the Bolshoi theatre, Red Square and the Kremlin all providing a stunning backdrop to the 4.5-kilometre street circuit.
Although Force India ultimately left the last round in Germany disappointed, their performance over the race weekend was highly encouraging, with Adrian Sutil qualifying in seventh and racing as high as second.

Setting the Record Straight
Before FOTA’s decision to walk out of yesterday’s Technical Working Group meeting, the President of the FIA wrote twice to the President of FOTA to remind him that any amendments to the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship regulations were subject to the unanimous approval of the five teams that had already entered for next season under the rules as published.
Brawn team principal Ross Brawn has been presented with the Motorsport Industry Association’s (MIA) Award for the Most Outstanding Contribution to the Motorsport Industry. Brawn collected the honour at the MIA’s annual summer reception at Britain’s House of Lords on Monday night.

There may not be a Grand Prix this weekend, but don’t be fooled - the majority of Formula One teams will still be in action at the UK’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. Brawn, McLaren, Ferrari, Williams, Toyota and Red Bull are all scheduled to attend the annual three-day celebration of motorsport, which gets under way on Friday.
McLaren have confirmed that the team will be heading to Russia later this month to take part in the Moscow City Racing event. The annual motorsport festival, which is expected to attract thousands of Muscovites, will be held on July 19.
Bridgestone have confirmed which dry-weather tyres will be available to the teams at the next five races. Although super-soft and medium rubber will be used at next weekend’s German Grand Prix, the Japanese company plan to disregard their allocation rationale for the 2009 season, and bring adjacent compounds to the Hungarian, European, Belgian and Italian events.
